The Constables and Douzeniers of the Parish of Saint Saviour

PAROISSE DE SAINT SAUVEUR

The Constables and Douzeniers of the Parish of Saint Saviour invite the Ratepayers and Electors thereof to meet in the Sark Room at St Saviour’s Community Centre, on Monday 15 April 2024, immediately following the Meeting already convened by the Rector and Churchwardens for 7.00pm, to transact the following business:

  1. To approve the minutes of the meetings held on 24 April 2023 and 1 November 2023. *
  2. To approve the Constables’ Accounts for 2023. *
  3. To decide whether they are in favour of voting the following amounts, for secular needs, to be levied by means of Owners’ Rates in 2024 (in accordance with estimates where appropriate):

Ordinary repairs and maintenance to Rectory & Church Hall

Parochial Administration, viz: staff salaries, office expenses including printing, stationary, IT equipment, postage, audit, insurance, legal and sundry other parochial expenses.

Ordinary upkeep of Parish land including Abreuvoirs, troughs, trees and floral displays

  1. To decide whether they are in favour of voting £144,200 to be levied for the 2024 Refuse Habitable Unit Charge for the collection of household refuse.
  2. To authorise the Constables to apply to the Royal Court for permission to levy the above sums by means of Owners and Refuse Rates.
  3. To decide that the Rates shall be levied applying the relative factors.*
  4. To take all such measures relating to the above as the Constables and Douzaine may deem advisable.
