The Constables of the Parish of St Pierre du Bois hereby notify the

Ratepayers and Electors that they will apply to the Royal Court at 9.30am on

Friday 3rd May 2024 for permission to levy the following sums in accordance

with the deliberations of the said Ratepayers and Electors at their meeting on

24th April 2024, by means of:

A. Refuse Rate: the sum of £111,960.00 at the rate of £128.84 per habitable unit.

B. Owners Rate, the sum of £82,448.00 for the items listed below. The applicable

rates for the Assessable Value of Cadastre categories may be inspected at the

Constables Office situate at Les Buttes, St Pierre du Bois and on the Parish

website at www.stpierredubois.org

1. ECCLESIASTICAL NEEDS:

a) Ordinary repairs to the Parish Church  3,000.00

b) Insurance of Church    £2,723.00

c) Extraordinary repairs to the Parish Church for which estimates have been obtained:

Repair and stabilisation of retaining graveyard west wall

 following 2023 Quinquennial Inspection report   3,955.00

d) Repair to crumbling rendering of church pillar  £1,000.00

e) Replacement of bell ropes   £2,000.00

f) Remuneration to bell ringers on public occasions  £120.00

2. SECULAR NEEDS:

a) Ordinary upkeep of Parochial Cemeteries:

(i) Gardening Contract     £25,700.00

(ii) General Maintenance  £1,500.00

b) Parochial Administration

(i) Ordinary upkeep of other Parish Properties   £53,250.00

(ii) Administration, Clerical and Legal Expenses  £36,200.00

c) Street Lighting    £1,000.00

d) Public Needs to be approved by the Parish

(i) Grant to La Houguette Primary School Library  £500.00

(ii) Grant to La Mare de Carteret High School Library  £400.00

(iii) Grant to Floral St Pierre du Bois £2,000.00
