The Ratepayers and Electors are invited to meet at Blanchelande College Rosaire Hall, St Andrew’s on Thursday 20th March 2025 at the conclusion of the Ecclesiastical Meeting, which commences at 7.30pm, for the following purposes: -
- To approve the Constables’ accounts for 2024 which have been audited.
- To elect Auditors to audit the Constables’ accounts for the ensuing year.
- To decide whether they are in favour of voting the following amounts to be levied by means of Owner’s Rate for the current year:- £
i) Parochial administration including clerical and legal expenses,
audit fee, postage, stationery, and other sundry expenses 33,600
ii) Street lighting 3,200
iii) Rente due to the Rector 3
iv) Upkeep of the Parochial Cemetery nil
v) Replacement of Road Signs 600
vi) Upkeep of Public Fountains and land 9,300
vii) Glebe land maintenance 8,000
viii) Public needs to be approved by the Parish: -
a) Contribution towards Primary Schools learning resources 1,100
b) Contribution towards Les Beaucamps School learning resources 700
c) Contribution towards Le Rondin School learning resources 300
d) Douzaine room utilities 2,000
e) Douzaine room upkeep 1,000
ix) Rectory - Ordinary repairs 5,000
x) Rectory – Extraordinary repairs nil
xi) Rectory - Insurance of property 3,000
xii) Barn - Ordinary repairs 2,000
xiii) Cadastre expenses 3,900

- To approve the sum of £111,974 to cover the cost of refuse collection and disposal for the year from 1st January 2025, to be levied by means of refuse rate, to be equally apportioned between each habitable unit.
5 To authorise the Constables to apply to the Royal Court for a Rémêde to levy the aforesaid sums.
6 To decide that the said Owner’s Rate, together with the sum approved by the meeting
convened by the Rector and Churchwardens, shall be levied applying the relative factors to the TRP unit value of the Cadastre categories, which are available for viewing at the Douzaine Room.
7 To receive a report on progress with regard to the possible sale of the Barn as directed by the parish meeting held on 22nd November 2023 and to vote on whether the Constables should now proceed to sell.
8 Any other matters the meeting wishes to discuss. However, no binding decisions can be made at the meeting.
