Variation of Scheduled Bus Services Fares

Committee for the Environment & Infrastructure - Variation of Scheduled Bus Services Fares

The Committee for the Environment & Infrastructure is seeking comment on proposals to amend the bus timetable for Scheduled Bus Services.

The proposed package of changes to the bus timetable, detailed below, seek to improve punctuality of the bus service, provide services to key locations of community interest and improve route coverage and timings. Maps and timetables for the changes can be found at https://gov.gg/bustimetable. These are also available to view at the Bus Information Shop. Staff will also be available at the Bus Information Shop, The Albany, from 16:00 to 18:00 on Tuesday 27th January 2026 and 12:00 to 14:00 on Wednesday 28th January 2026 should you wish to discuss the proposed changes.

Interested parties are invited to comment in writing on the following proposals by no later than 8th February 2026. Unless stated otherwise, the services are full routes (inbound and outbound) departing and ending at the town terminus. The proposed changes are as follows:

  1. Evening ‘S’ services
    Proposal to remove the ‘S’ evening routes and replace with later services on normal routes as follows:

Removal of Route S1 and replace with the following services:

  • Route 11 at 20:30 and 21:00, Monday to Friday

  • Route 11 at 20:20, Sunday

  • Route 13 at 19:45 and 20:45, Monday to Friday

  • Route 13 at 19:45, Sunday

Removal of Route S2 and replace with the following services:

  • Route 41 at 20:30, Monday to Friday,

  • Route 41 at 20:00, Sunday

  • Route 42 at 20:15 and 20:45, Monday to Friday

  • Route 42 at 20:30, Sunday

Removal of Route S3 and replace with the following services:

  • Route 93 at 20:35, everyday

Removal of Route S4 and replace with the following services:

  • Route 61 at 20:10, everyday

  • Route 71 at 20:10, Monday to Friday

  • Route 71 at 20:05, Saturday

  1. ‘Round’ island services
    Proposal to increase the frequency of Route 91 and Route 92 ‘round’ island services on a Sunday to hourly (currently every 2 hours):

Additional services:

  • Route 91 at 10:05, 12:05, 14:05, 16:05 and 18:05, Sunday

  • Route 92 at 10:35, 12:35, 14:35 and 16:35, Sunday

  • Route 92 (inbound from Grandes Rocques) at 09:25, Sunday

  1. Night Bus Services
    Proposal to amend all night bus routes on a Friday and Saturday to provide greater coverage:

Proposed Routes:

  • Route N1: Route as existing until Oatlands Centre, then route change as follows: Le Grand Fort Road - Les Petites Capelles Road - Rue Sauvage - Les Martins - Les Tracheries - L’Islet; then via Sandy Hook - Existing route to Town.

  • Route N2: Route as existing to Grandes Rocques Road, then route change as follows: Rue de la Ronde Cheminee - Port Soif Lane - Portfiner Road - Route de la Passee - Rue des Cottes - Pleinhaume Road - Les Rouvets - Landes du Marche - Rue Cohu – Rejoin existing route at Saumarez Park.

  • Route N3: Route as existing to L’Eree, then route change as follows: Rue de Felconte - Route de la Perelle - Route de la Maladerie -  Vazon Road - Rue du Gele - Rue du Dos Ane - La Grande Rue - Le Frie Baton - Route des Clos Landais - Rue des Carriaux - Rue De L’Eclet – Rejoins existing route at Route des Paysans.

  • Route N4: Route as existing to Le Vauquiedor, then route change as follows: Bailiff’s Cross Rd - Rue Piette - Route de l’Eglise - Rue du Preel -  Les Beaucamps - Mont d’Aval - La Haye du Puits - Route de Cobo - Cobo Coast Road - La Banquette - La Giffardiere - Vazon Road - La Rocquette - La Mare Road - La Houguette - Rue de la Porte - Les Grandes Moulins - Route de la Hurette - Clos au Comte Rd - Rue du Hechet - La Grande Lande - Les Buttes - Route des Bordages -   La Route des Piques – Rejoins existing route at La Planque.

  1. Route 51 and 52
    Proposal to change Route 51 and Route 52 to cover key locations, including the Princess Elizabeth Hospital, Footes Lane, Beau Sejour and Harbour Terminal, and to increase the frequency of these services. It is proposed that Route 51 and Route 52 will no longer serve the Admiral Park and Bouet areas. However, these areas will continue to be served by Routes 11, 12, 13, 21, 31 and 32.

    Proposed routes:

  • Route 51 – Town Terminus, Harbour Terminal, the Grange, Brock Road, Beau Sejour, La Vrangue, Collings Road, Footes Lane, Castel Church, Bailiffs Cross Road, Princess Elizabeth Hospital, La Charroterie and Town Terminus.

  • Route 52 - Town Terminus, La Charroterie, the Princess Elizabeth Hospital, Bailiff’s Cross Road, Castel Church, Footes Lane, Collings Road, La Vrangue, Beau Sejour, Doyle Road, the Grange, Harbour Terminal and Town Terminus.

    Proposed timings:

  • Route 51 hourly from 07:50 to 19:50, Monday to Saturday

  • Route 51 at 09:30, 11:30, 13:30, 15:30 and 17:30, Sunday

  • Route 52 at 08:00 and then hourly from 09:10 to 18:10, Monday to Friday

  • Route 52 hourly from 08:10 to 18:10, Saturday

  • Route 52 at 08:30, 10:30, 12:30, 14:30, 16:30 and 18:30, Sunday

  1. Route 60 and 61
    Proposal to remove Route 60 and amend Route 61. The amended Route 61 will cover part of the Route 60 and provide a more regular service from the Richmond end of Vazon to the Perelle area. It is proposed that Route 61 will no longer serve Pleinmont or the Le Coudre. Pleinmont is well served with Route 91, 92 and 93.

    Proposed 61 Route:

  • Outbound: As existing until Kings Mills, then Gele Road – Vazon Road – Route de La Maladerie – Route de la Perelle – Route de La Rocque – Route des Adams – Route du Felconte – La Grande Rue – Le Frie Baton – Longfrie.

  • Inbound: Longfrie – Le Frie Baton – Kings Mills - existing route to Town Terminus.

Additional Service:

  • 20:10, Monday to Friday and Sunday.

  1. Route 71
    Proposal to shorten service and remove the Longfrie to Airport section. Additional longer route that covers airport and Torteval area to be maintained in the morning and afternoon services as existing.

  2. Route 93 and Route 94
    Proposal to simplify by combining into a single route by ceasing the Route 94 and increasing the frequency of the Route 93:

    Proposed Services:

  • 06:05 and then hourly from 06:35 to 20:35 , Monday to Friday

  • Hourly from 07:20 to 19:20, Saturday

  • 09:20, 11:20, 13:20, 15:20 ad 17:20, Sunday

  1. Route 95
    The following additional services on Route 95 are being proposed to improve connections to and from the airport:

    Proposed services:

  • 08:51 (Inbound from the Airport), Monday to Friday

  • 14:20, 17:20, 20:20 and 20:50, Monday to Friday

  • 19:20, 19:50, 20:20 and 20:50, Sunday

  1. P2 – Parish link Service
    Due to the very low numbers that use this service, it is proposed to remove. This service is largely covered by other routes or routes that are in close proximity, including the enhanced 51 and 52 services.

  2. Service Changes
    To support the above changes, and following a review of passenger number and consideration of other alternatives, it is proposed to remove the following services:

  • Route 11 at 05:30, Monday to Friday 

  • Route 12 at 06:15, Monday to Friday 

  • Route 61 at 05:10, Monday to Friday
