The Rector and Churchwardens of the Castel Parish invite the Electors and Ratepayers thereof to meet at La Chambre de la Douzaine, Les Beaucamps, on Wednesday 11 March 2026 at 7.00 pm to transact the following business:

1.

To pass the Trésor Account for 2025, which has been duly audited, before the Very Reverend T.R. Barker, Dean of Guernsey, or his delegate.

2.

To elect two ratepayers to serve on the Parochial Church Property Management Board to replace Mr. W.G.de L. Luff. MBE and Mr P Hyde whose terms of office have expired but who are both eligible for re-election.

3.

To approve the Parochial Church Property Management Board accounts which are part of the Constables’ accounts for 2025, which have been duly audited.

4.

To receive the annual report of the Management Board in relation to Insurance of the Parochial Church Property.

5.

To appoint Auditors for the 2026 Parochial Church Property Management Board Accounts.

6.

To decide whether they are in favour of voting the following amounts to be levied by means of Owner’s Rate for the current year:

Ordinary Repairs to the Parish Church

Extra Ordinary Repairs to the Parish Church, Drainage and Path Lights

15,000.00

Insurance – Parish Church

5,000.00

Installation of new Flagpole

1,000.00

Tax on Real Property – Land belonging to the Cure

Upkeep and repair of the Parish Church Clock

Upkeep of the Parish Church bells and renumeration of the bell ringers on public occasions

Audit fees

Publications and notices

7.

To decide the hour at which Ecclesiastical Parish meetings shall be held in 2027.

8.

To request the Constables to apply to the Royal Court for a Remede to levy the aforesaid sums.
